In English football, no team comes close to Manchester united in terms of trophies won,
global fans (both in the various social media platforms and outside of social media).
Manchester United boasts a whooping six hundred and fifty million fans worldwide with its
closest competitor Chelsea Football club at one hundred and thirty five million fans. A close
comparison shows that Manchester United fans are five times the number of Chelsea fans.

In terms of trophies, we have the most trophies than any other English team. Our trophy cabinet
possesses twenty league titles, twelve Football Association cups (FA),Five league cups and
twenty one Football Association community shields. On the European front, there are three
Union of European Football Association (UEFA) Champions league, One UEFA Europa league,
One UEFA cup winners Cup, One UEFA super cup, One Intercontinental cup and one FIFA
Club world cup.

With all these achievements in terms of trophies, because apart from playing
entertainment football, winning is the most important part of the game. It is easy to see why
globally, we have the most fans.

Other notable achievements of Manchester United are; under the leadership of Jose
Mourinho(The previous manager before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer),we won the UEFA Europa
league in 2016-17 hence becoming one of the five teams that include; Juventus FC of Serie A in
Italy, Ajax Amsterdam in the Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch Football ,FC Bayern Munich of the
Bundesliga in German football, Chelsea FC of the English Premier league in the top division of
English football and of course Manchester United to ever win all three main UEFA club
competitions that entail UEFA champions league(formerly European cup),UEFA Europa
cup(formerly UEFA cup) and last but not least UEFA Super cup.

I decided to save the best for the last.Yes,the 1998-99 treble winning team of the likes of
Dwight Yorke who scored twenty nine goals in all competitions that season, Teddy
Sheringham,Ole Gunnar Solskjaer(The current Red devils manager),Peter Schmeichel,Gary
Neville, Ryan Giggs just but to name a few who won the Premier League,FA cup,UEFA
champions league under the guidance of the greatest manager of a Football club Sir Alex
Ferguson.

One thing that many fans do not know or rather forget is that the previous season, we had not
won any title. When we won the treble, we became the first side in English football to achieve
such a feat. Is there a team worth the title ‘Greatest Football club in England if not Manchester
United?’ I doubt that.
