The EPL ended a few days ago, and the transfer window is back on, last week Everton bid £18m for
Real Madrid product, Sergio Reguilon.

Reguilon, who has received excellent reviews for contributing to Sevilla ending fourth in the league
and qualifying for the Champion League, has been on loan since last season.
Chelsea’s interest in Leicester city and England left-back Ben Chilwell may have shifted to the
recently voted" the best left-back in La Liga," and we all know Chelsea can outbid Everton’s £18m
with no sweat.

Frank Lampard’s highest priority is to strengthen his back option with neither Emerson Palmieri nor
Marcos Alonso performing his satisfaction last season. Tho Real Madrid highly values Reguilon, they
need to raise funds to balance the books, and besides, they are blessed with left-back talents.
Sevilla does wish they could keep him on for next season but are aware his performance has brought
him attention from clubs that could snatch him away.
Sergio Reguilon played 31 matches scored two goals and made four assists. For a defender, that’s a
good record.

Recall that Reguilon move Sevilla on loaner Julen Loptegui.
The left-back defender joined the Real Madrid team at age eight in 2005. He made 22 total
appearances in Real Madrid from 2018 to 2019, his professional debut against CSKA Moscow in a
Champion league match on the 2nd of October 2018 was a lost.

Santiago Solari, at that time, preferred the youngster over Marcelo giving a chance to perform. Upon
returning Zinedine Zidane as head coach, his struggle begins, he made a total of two appearances
after the departure of Solari from real Madrid. Sevilla saw a chance and signed a full back loan for
the 2019-20 campaign.

Reguilon is the eighth signing by Sevilla so far. The 23-year-old was united with his former coach
at Real Madrid, Julen Lopetegui, who has the go-ahead to request Sergio’s presence at Sevilla. The
youngster received much more playing time than when he was under Zidane in Real Madrid, which
has made him improve drastically.

Unfortunately for Sevilla, their contract with Real Madrid was valid until June 2020.
So far two EPL teams have shown interest, Everton made a bid a little bit lesser than Real Madrid
target of £20M, Chelsea is yet to make any statement concerning how much they are willing to bid
for Sergio Reguilon. Still, sports experts are hinting that Frank Lampard will go for him since his
defence was a mess last season.
The attention drawn by Reguilon has cast a shadow on Chelsea's pursuit of Leicester left-back Ben
